Statues

Worked on these two statues, Senju Kannon Botastu and Byodoin Phoenix (which can be founded on top of some buildings). I was responsible for the textures for the first sculpture, and for the Phoenix I was responsible for textures, lowpoly and highpoly modeling. For this kind of assets, we usually approach the issue trying to reuse materials from the library and work a lot with the bleding, basically working almost everything directly inside Anvil. For these assets, we bake just a Normal Map to give some surface info to the asset. We would work a lot in the Vertex Color, set the right blending and that way, bring the story telling the asset might need. This approach was really eficent also regarding the pixel per cms, and we would have nice and sharp details everywhere.
